Steve Vizesi

Steve Vizesi answered an advertisement I placed for a guitarist to join the Crimes of Passion band while it was still in the very early stages of forming. In hindsight he was completely the wrong fit for the band and only played a single gig with us, but his contributions during the recording of our demo sessions were enormous.

Steve was essentially a heavy metal guitarist studying under Dieter Kleemann and could play in the style of Eddie Van Halen with great fluency. While that approach was not really what the band needed, he brought some excellent ideas to the demo recordings. His input into songs such as Little Nina, Mr X and Memories of You remained long after the band stopped performing live.

I remain very grateful for his contributions to those songs, particularly the counterpoint harmony guitar parts he created in the bridge section of Little Nina, which absolutely make the song. David Sparks, who later replaced him, retained those parts when we performed the song live and when Little Nina was eventually recorded at Trackdown Studios.

Steve Vizesi Appears on these recordings

No recording contributions, however he played a significant role in developing the songs during the demo recordings.
