John Mackay was a keyboard player working with Richard Clapton at the time I met him. It was actually John Prior who put me in touch with him. I went along to watch him perform with Richard Clapton and it was immediately clear that he would be the perfect choice to add something special to the songs.

John completely reworked the songs Sister and Time, adding some truly brilliant piano parts and orchestration. His contribution to those two songs alone was enormous and brought a whole new dimension to them.

I lost touch with John not long afterwards when he became involved in a court case with Richard Clapton, and no one I know has seen him since. If you ever see this John, get in touch.
